What to Expect

When you’re ready to explore what resources and support may be available to help you, we’ll follow this simple process to get you started on the right path:

  • Contact Amy via phone or email to express interest in counseling. 

  • An initial phone call will be scheduled to discuss basic information, schedule initial consultation or offer a referral if necessary.  

  • Once the initial consultation is scheduled, Amy will provide you with access to a secure and confidential Patient Portal website where all communication, payments, invoices, and forms will be shared.

  • At least 24 hours prior to initial session, please sign onto the patient portal and complete necessary paperwork. If accessing the patient portal is a problem, please arrive 30 min early to the initial session to complete necessary paperwork.  

  • The initial consultation is a time for the client to meet the counselor and visit the office to see if they are the right fit. We will briefly discuss the issues you are currently dealing with, what counseling looks like, and answer any questions you may have.

  • After the initial meeting, a referral can be offered if it does not appear to be the right fit or a 50 min session will be scheduled for the up coming week.  

  • Follow up sessions will be based on each client and their individualized treatment plan created with the counselor. 

  • Patients will have access to the patient portal between sessions to review necessary information.

Initial Consultation

I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation session. If, after meeting, you do not think that we would be a good fit, I am happy to give you referrals that would best meet your needs.

Sessions

Follow up Sessions are $150 for each 53-minute individual psychotherapy session

EMDR Sessions

Sessions for EMDR are recommended to be longer in order to be able to most effectively worth through the process. These sessions will be scheduled ahead of time and will be 90 min and 120 min.

Insurance

I am currently accepting Cigna/Evernorth and United Healthcare

I do not accept Employee Assistance Program (EAP) codes or Single Contracts for out of network insurance plans

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel or reschedule a session, I ask that you provide me with at least 24-hours notice. I charge the cost of the session if adequate notice is not given or if the client is 15 min late to session, excluding unpredictable emergencies. 

If you are going to be late to a session, please contact Amy as soon as possible. If you are going to be any later than 15 min the session will be need to be rescheduled.
