Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling offers a client a therapeutic relationship that is not often found in our every day lives. Amy utilizes a multitude of interventions but prioritizes the client's expertise of themselves and life experiences. Amy views Individual counseling as an opportunity to work together to address the challenges her client is experiencing and together develops a plan for success. Individual counseling allows for focused attention and the ability to build an individualized plan for treatment. Interventions utilized will be dependent on the individual as well as the problems being addressed.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) may be an appropriate psychotherapy model for some people and situations when traditional talk therapy isn't enough. EMDR is a form of therapy that allows the brain to reprocess impactful experiences in our lives that have negatively affected our ability to appropriately move through challenges in life. EMDR is primarily utilized to address Trauma as well as building resources that would aid in developing healthy coping skills. To learn more about EMDR, check out: EMDRIA and EMDRII.
